Heritage Hill Neighborhood in Grand Rapids is bounded by Crescent Street on the north, Union Avenue on the east, Pleasant Street on the south, and Lafayette Avenue on the west. Features include Foster Park, Heritage Hill Park, Mooney Park. Fountain Elementary School, Central High School, Grand Rapids Montessori School, and Heritage Child Development Center. Business districts include East Fulton, Heartside, and Michigan Street. Heritage Hill is one of the largest official historic districts in the country and has many claims to fame, including President Gerald R. Ford’s main boyhood home, and the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Meyer May house. The majority of the homes were built from the 1840s through the 1920s.
